About Us
We, the CoronaFest, are a joint project by professionals from the event industry to promote Austrian indie bands during the Covid19 crisis. The concept is simple: While due to important regulations to curb the Covid19 pandemic venues are not allowed to be visited and thus music enthusiasts and numerous musicians have to do without celebrating this type of social and cultural gathering, we offer precisely these musicians a stage.
From a cozy and personal film studio atmosphere, we send daily, free live concerts via professionally produced online video stream directly to the viewer's Facebook, YouTube, mixer or Twitch feed. Among the bands appearing are not only the créme de la créme of the emerging independent scene, but also well-established greats of those.
The central part of these exclusive “living room concerts” is the Virtual Tip Jar. Music enthusiasts, but also all other supporters of the indie scene, have the opportunity to show emerging musicians their appreciation by paying small amounts online and thus support one or the other artist during the crisis.

Thomas Perry, the initiator and initiator of the project, has been a musician himself for over 20 years and has been running his music and media studio in the beautiful suburb of Vienna since 2010. Katharina Thaller, who initiated the project, is the managing director of the School of Rock music school, which specializes in all styles of rock music. The School of Rock in Vienna and Mödling has a wide range of offers. In addition to singing lessons, guitar lessons, bass lessons and drum lessons, the school also offers theory courses as well as various musical workshops and band lessons for beginners and advanced students.
